Jan Wind has been with eccelerate as Principal Expert since 2020.
Prior to joining eccelerate, Jan has been involved in the data-driven transformation of one of Germany’s largest mail order companies in various positions over several years. As Vice President AdTech, CRM & Personalization, he was most recently responsible for the AdTech division including web tracking, multi-channel campaign management, programmatic advertising and the in-house development of advertising content formats and personalization applications for a webshop platform developed by the group. Previously, as Managing Director, he was responsible for building an independent Innovation Hub for Data Science within the group, which under his leadership developed Big Data products such as an event-based Data Lake platform, automated customer segmentation and profiling applications and proprietary recommendation systems for the group’s call center and online stores.
Jan holds a doctorate in economics and a degree in business administration. He studied business administration at the University of Rostock and then completed his doctorate at the chair for dialog marketing at the University of Kassel on the acceptance of mobile services.
When Jan is not crunching data, he plays Lego architect with his six and four-year-old children, hikes through the Palatinate mountains or restores his grandfather’s historic bicycle.
